Conditions of Entry - Individuals
By submitting a nomination for the Tasmanian Training Awards, you agree to:
- only apply for one category and must meet the eligibility criteria for that category.
- be nominated by your training provider, employer, school or college and must personally prepare and submit your application.
- notify the Tasmanian Training Awards immediately should there be a change in circumstances about their training or employment.
- attend an interview as required and, if selected as a finalist, attend a gala presentation dinner on Friday, 4 September 2026 at Wrest Point in Hobart.
- any decisions relating to the Tasmanian Training Awards process are final and the Tasmanian Training Awards will not enter into justification for the selection of successful nominees and will not debate the evaluation process.
- represent Tasmania at the 2026 Australian Training Awards week in Sydney from 17-21 November should you win in a category that is nationally-aligned*
- attend a professional development program to prepare for the Australian Training Awards. Further details to be provided after the Tasmanian Training Awards.
- acknowledge that by entering the Awards, finalists and winners agree that Skills Tasmania (Department of State Growth) and the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, may use non-confidential details, profiles, training details and/or photographs/videos for any publicity or promotional purpose pertaining to vocational education and training and workforce development including, but not limited to, the Tasmanian Training Awards and Australian Training Awards.
- act appropriately and professionally at all times and must not engage in conduct that has the potential to bring the Tasmanian Training Awards, the Department of State Growth or the Tasmanian Government into disrepute or cause it reputational harm.
- acknowledge that the Department of State Growth reserves the right to reassess suitability of a participant (whether they be a nominee, finalist or winner) where circumstances emerge that present, or could present, a material concern for the State of Tasmania, including concerns relating to reputation, conflicts of interest, ethics or public safety.
*There are no national equivalents to the VET in Schools Student Award or Equity Awards.
Conditions of Entry - Organisations
By submitting a nomination for the Tasmanian Training Awards, you agree to:
- meet the eligibility requirements for the category.
- acknowledge that business and training provider applications will be subject to quality assurance checks with relevant authorities, such as the Australian Skills quality Authority (ASQA). The checks will inform the selection process of applicants for this award category.
- attend an interview and, if selected as a finalist, attend a gala presentation dinner in Hobart on Friday, 4 September 2025 at the Wrest Point in Hobart.
- any decisions relating to the Tasmanian Training Awards process are final and the Tasmanian Training Awards will not enter into justification for the selection of successful nominees and will not debate the evaluation process.
