Hints and Tips
The Tasmanian Training Award Nominations are opening soon…It’s time to begin thinking about who you could nominate for an award.
Meanwhile, here are 5 helpful tips to complete a winning-level nomination.
- Start your application early: Nominations are open for eight weeks, but it’s best to get it done sooner rather than later to ensure you don’t miss the deadline!
- Respond directly to the selection criteria: Use it as your guide; each point tells you exactly what to address in your application.
- Use specific, real examples: Avoid broad statements like “I contributed to my industry”. Instead, explain what you did, how you did it, and why it mattered.
- Focus on what sets you apart: Like a job application, explain why you’re a strong fit to win the award.
- Don’t forget to proof read your application – Check that your wording and grammar makes sense and that the information you provide (such as the names of your qualification and training provider) are correct.
