About the Industry Partnerships Program

The Industry Partnerships Program funds collaborative projects that aim to address industry‑identified training needs and improve the quality, relevance and accessibility of nationally recognised training subsidised by the Tasmanian Government.

The goal is to help overcome barriers to vocational education and training where:

  • access to equipment and resources exist
  • contextualisation of training is needed to meet a specific industry or regional need
  • investment is needed to trial new ways to attract and retain a high quality, strong and capable VET workforce to train Tasmania’s future workers.

To be eligible, projects must involve a Skills Tasmania eligible Registered Training Organisation and other participants in the Tasmanian training and workforce development system.

For 2026 there are two grant streams:

  • Stream 1 — Equipment, resources and contextualisation (Small grants up to $50,000 and large grants up to $250,000 (co contribution required)
  • Stream 2 — Support for VET trainers and assessors (Small grants up to $50,000)

The Grant Program Guidelines contain more details about eligible and ineligible expenditure.
