10 Mar 2020 - Energising Tasmania Training Fund Grant Program
The Department of State Growth, through Skills Tasmania, has released a new grant program to support the Energising Tasmania Training Fund. Endorsed Registered Training Organisations (ERTOs) are eligible to submit an application before the grant closes.
The Energising Tasmania Training Fund is a key commitment of the Australian and Tasmanian Governments to support the Battery of the Nation initiative by growing a skilled workforce in the renewable energy and related sectors.
All ERTOs are eligible to apply. The opening date for the grant was 7 March 2020. As this will be a rolling application grant, ERTOs are eligible to apply anytime until the grant closes on 30 June 2020 (or until grant funds are fully allocated). This means the ERTO can be responsive to the employer’s needs.
The Fund allows existing workers to access full qualifications and apprenticeships and/or traineeships in the industry sectors that align to the Energising Tasmania initiative.
This is a fee-free program. ERTOs are able to apply for up to $1000 per learner to pay for any non-tuition costs associated with the delivery of the program.
