Personal Information Protection
EMRS will collect personal information on behalf of the Department of State Growth (represented by Skills Tasmania) as part of conducting the survey.
The Department manages your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act 2004 (Tasmania) and the Student Identifiers Act 2014 (Commonwealth), including holding it securely, only using it for purposes associated with the reasons it was collected, and not disclosing it other than allowed for by law. Survey responses will not be disclosed to training organisations, and only aggregated data will be considered for publication.
Your survey responses will be linked to the personal information the Department holds about your training so we can evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the training and assessment programs subsidised by Skills Tasmania. Understanding what the employment and further study outcomes are for clients as a result of the training, as well as how well the programs fulfil the purpose of students’ undertaking the training, is an important part of this evaluation. This information will assist Skills Tasmania in the development of policies and programs and the allocation of resources.
You have the right to access your personal information by request to the Department and you may be charged a fee for this service. Queries about how your personal information will be used in association with the survey can be directed to VETResearch@skills.tas.gov.au.
