The New Apprenticeship Scholarship program (NASP) has been implemented to support eligible apprentices and trainees in north west Tasmania undertake their apprenticeship or traineeship.

The program provides grants of $2 000 for new workers who are over 18yrs old.

The program aims to assist commencing apprentices in north west Tasmania with costs of their apprenticeship or traineeship in the Agriculture, Aquaculture & Forestry, Transport & Logistics and Health & Social Assistance industries.

The scholarships are designed to support apprentices’ and trainees’ participation in approved training connected to their apprenticeship or traineeship, enabling them to pay for student fees, books and materials, transport, child care or other items or services that will assist them to participate.
