New Apprenticeship Scholarship Program

• The New Apprenticeship Scholarship Program has been fully allocated and closed on 14^th December 2023.

The New Apprenticeship Scholarship program (NASP) has been implemented to support eligible apprentices and trainees in northwest Tasmania undertake their apprenticeship or traineeship.

The program provides grants of $2 000 for new workers who are over 18yrs old.

The program aims to assist commencing apprentices in northwest Tasmania with costs of their apprenticeship or traineeship in the Agriculture, Aquaculture & Forestry, Transport & Logistics and Health & Social Assistance industries.

The scholarships are designed to support apprentices’ and trainees’ participation in approved training connected to their apprenticeship or traineeship, enabling them to pay for student fees, books and materials, transport, childcare or other items or services that will assist them to participate.

Applications can be made through Apprenticeship Network Providers at the commencement of the apprenticeship. Please email the completed form to nasp@skills.tas.gov.au.
