VET Reform Roadmap

In 2019, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) agreed a vision for vocational education and training (VET) to position the sector as responsive, dynamic and trusted. To deliver on this vision, COAG tasked Skills Ministers with developing a VET Reform Roadmap.

Skills Ministers have asked jurisdictions to work together to develop a draft Roadmap for consideration by Ministers and endorsement by COAG by the middle of 2020.

A consultation draft of the Roadmap is available here:

This draft is a working document of the Skills Senior Officials’ Network: it has not been reviewed or endorsed by governments or COAG.

For general enquiries about the Roadmap, please contact skillstasintergovernmental@skills.tas.gov.au

Micro-credentials

To support the COAG VET Reform Roadmap, Skills Ministers also agreed to fast track four projects. One project will look at the use of micro-credentials in the national VET system.

The micro-credentials discussion paper is below. We welcome your input.
