Winners of the Student Awards for Apprentice, Trainee, Vocational Student and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student will automatically represent Tasmania at the 2009 Australian Training Awards. The School-based Apprentice of the Year Award recipient must be a Certificate III student to represent Tasmania at the Australian Training Awards. All costs are covered by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). Business Award recipients will have their submissions forwarded to the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) for assessment by a DEEWR nominated selection panel. Shortlisted finalists in each award will be interviewed and invited to attend the presentation dinner in November where winners will be announced. All costs are covered by DEEWR. There are currently no national equivalents to the Equity Awards or VET in Schools Student of the Year Award. Skills Tasmania reserves the right to not present an award in any category for which it considers the standard of entries does not meet the requirements as stated in the conditions of entry and assessment criteria. |
