The Tasmanian Government is committed to growing and strengthening a vocational education and training system that supports a productive workforce and contributes to Tasmania’s economic and social development.

Part of this commitment is recognising individuals and organisations that have excelled in vocational education and training, through the Tasmanian Training Awards.

Since the first Apprentice of the Year award was presented in 1949, hundreds of Tasmanians have been celebrated as the State’s best in their chosen field and many have gone on to be acknowledged on the national stage as Australia’s best.
