Tasmanian Training Agreements Committee

The Tasmanian Training Agreements Committee (TTAC) was established under the Vocational Education and Training Act 1994.

TTAC Policy 29 - Fully Competency Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships [Word 272KB] This guide has been established to facilitate the implementation of the TTAC Policy 29, Fully Competency Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

TTAC administers vocational placements and training agreements.

TTAC is a seven person committee. It issues guidelines and procedures for the operation of vocational placements and training agreements, and provides advice to the Skills Tasmania Board on these matters. The committee may conciliate or arbitrate disputes arising from the terms, conditions and operation of training agreements.

TTAC is supported by staff of Skills Tasmania who provide:

• advice on training agreements
• declaration of vocations
• advice on vocational placements
• support for those involved in a training agreement, ie employers and employees

TTAC's clients are:

• employers
• trainees
• training providers
