Workforce development integrates workforce analysis and planning, human resource management and skills development to bridge the gap between current and future workforce needs. It enables employers to attract, retain and develop their workforce and increases the capacity of individuals to participate and be productive in the workforce. It encourages partnerships and a better understanding of the impacts of skills deployment.
