RTO Census 2008 - Report on the census of Tasmanian registered training organisations [PDF 553KB] (February 2009)
Skills Tasmania conducted a census of all Tasmanian Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in October 2008. Out of the 117 Tasmanian non-TAFE RTOs, 113 responded to the census, a very high response rate.
The aim of the census was to provide a thorough understanding of the training provider industry. The information gained from the census will be used to provide a sound basis for Skills Tasmania initiatives affecting RTOs.
Areas covered in the report include findings on RTO Turnover, RTO Staffing, enrolments, and business planning and strategies.
