Tasmanian Operational Requirements for Group Training Organisations

Quality arrangements for Group Training Organisations in Tasmania

Group training arrangements have the potential to make a valuable contribution to meeting State employment and training reform objectives. It is imperative, therefore, that a process is in place to ensure that group training standards are addressed and maintained within Tasmania and to assure the suitability of organisations wishing to provide group training services.

Guide to Registration

A Guide to Registration [Word 33.5KB] provides the essential information needed for organisations wishing to register as a GTO in Tasmania.

Prospective GTOs are required to:

  • provide a Notification of Intent to Register to the Chair of the Tasmanian Training Agreements Committee indicating that the organisation will operate in accordance with the Tasmanian Operational Requirements of the Tasmanian Training Agreements Committee (TTAC)
  • document a Tasmanian Operational Plan;
  • provide operational data on a monthly, annual and as-requested basis; and
  • participate in external monitoring and audit processes as required by TTAC.

A Guide to Registration should be read in conjunction with the Registration Toolkit (see below).

Registration Toolkit

Registration Toolkit [Word 66KB] is accompanied by A Guide to Registration.  It is highly recommended that both the Toolkit and the Guide be read in conjunction.

The Toolkit contains valuable examples of evidence and has been developed to support and assist GTOs and independent auditors to prepare for and participate in:

(a) assessment to determine compliance with the quality arrangements in Tasmania; and

(b) annual internal reviews (a requirement of the National Standards for Group Training Organisations).
