About group training
Group training is an employment and training arrangement whereby an organisation employs apprentices and trainees under a training contract and places them with host employers. The GTO, amongst other things, undertakes the employer responsibilities for the quality and continuity of the apprentices' and trainees' employment and training.
Directory of GTOs
The Group Training National Register lists contact details for those GTOs that have complied with the National Standards for Group Training Organisations set by Vocational Education and Training Ministers.
All GTOs listed on the Tasmanian page of the Group Training National Register have been recognised as compliant with the Tasmanian Operational Requirements for Group Training Organisations by the Tasmanian Training Agreements Committee (TTAC).

Group Training Organisation Templates
Templates are available to assist Group Training Organisations with their application to register as a GTO and for reporting purposes. Template documents include: Self Assessment Evidence and Continuous Improvement report templates, a Registration Checklist and Notification of Intent to Register and Re-Register.
