Out of Trade Register

Skills Tasmania works with Australian Apprenticeships Centres, Group Training Organisations and large and small businesses locally and nationally to administer training contracts throughout Tasmania.

The out of trade register has been established by Skills Tasmania to assist those apprentices and trainees whose training contract has been cancelled and wish to be considered for future apprenticeship or traineeship positions.  Once you have registered, prospective employers in your relevant occupation will be given your details. The employer will make a judgment whether to contact you. Registering your details on the “Out of Trade Register” does not guarantee employment. The Register is only available to people who have previously worked as an apprentice or trainee and their training contract has been cancelled. Your name will only appear on the Register for 6 months. After the 6 months it will be taken off.

Your information will be:

• put on our out of trade register.
• sent to those members which might be able to offer you employment. We will only notify those members that have agreed to participate in this program and are serious about providing real opportunities. Members may include group training organisations, major employers of apprentices and trainees, Australian Apprenticeships Centres and other employers who may approach Skills Tasmania who have a genuine apprenticeship or traineeship vacancy.

Personal Information Protection

Personal information will be collected from you to register your details on the Out of Trade Register. Your personal information will be used for the primary purpose for which it is collected.
