Australian Apprenticeships Centres are contracted by the Commonwealth Government to provide information, advice and support to employers, apprentices and trainees about
apprenticeships and traineeships. They assist with the sign up of training contracts, as well as assess, approve and process the payment of Commonwealth incentives.
Australian Apprenticeships Centres operating in southern and northern Tasmania, should be the first contact point if there are any concerns regarding the training contract. Alternatively, Skills Tasmania has Training Consultants available throughout Tasmania who provide advice and guidance to employers and apprentices/trainees undertaking training in an apprenticeship or traineeship.
They can assist with the resolution of difficulties which may arise between employers and apprentices/trainees during the term of the training contract after initial assistance has been sought from an Australian Apprenticeships Centre.
