Training awards and competitions

Tasmanian Training Awards

Nominations for the 2008 Tasmanian Training Awards open on Tuesday 1 April and close on Friday 30 May.

The Tasmanian Training Awards are conducted annually by Skills Tasmania.

The Awards are an important way of promoting the value of training to employers and employees and of encouraging excellence amongst trainees, apprentices, vocational students and enterprises involved in vocational education and training.

The Tasmanian Training Awards are the pathway to the Australian Training Awards conducted by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, which are presented in November each year. The national awards are seen as the major promotion to raise the status and recognition of training in Australia.
