Finding an RTO

There is a national register of RTOs which lists their contact details and the qualifications they are approved to deliver.

The national register is know as the National Training Information Service (NTIS) and can be accessed on the web.

There are several ways of identifying a list of RTOs for your business:

  • Search the register by training organisation if you know which one you want to use. You can refine the search by selecting the "Tas" box at the bottom of the screen. Once the organisation appears on the screen, select "Show all Details";

  • A qualification if you have a particular one in mind. Once you have selected a course/qualification you can click "Show all Details". The register will then tell you which RTOs are listed to provide that course/qualification;

  • Another way is using training.com.au which allows you to search on your postcode.

Training Brokers

Brokers can also assist you in finding and selecting an RTO and other services. These are often independent consultants who have expertise in the training sector.

Most RTOs and brokers are listed in the yellow pages section, Training and Development of your telephone directory. You can identify a nationally registered RTO by looking for this logo.
