Australian Apprenticeships Centres (AACs) are the experts on apprentices and trainees and are an ideal first port of call for those seeking advice and help or a general overview of the apprenticeship and traineeship system.
AACs have been contracted by the Australian Government to:
- provide information and assistance to employers and Australian apprentices
- administer Commonwealth incentive payments.
AACs will provide you and your apprentice or trainee with support throughout the term of the Training Contract. They will also process all Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program applications and claims.
As part of the ongoing support to businesses, AACs provide information such as:
- the range of options available that will best meet your business needs
- your responsibilities and obligations to your apprentice or trainee when entering into the Apprenticeship/Traineeship Training Contract.
When entering into a training contract with your apprentice or trainee, you must lodge the contract with your AAC. Only the AAC can submit the contract to the relevant training authority.
You'll find AACs in over 300 locations across Australia, with many in rural and regional locations. Use the postcode search on the Australian Apprenticeships website to find your nearest AAC or call 13 38 73.
